The Vex Robotics Competition is a competitive robotics league. Each year the REC Foundation releases a new game, and students must build a robot to complete that game. Throughout the year teams participate in tournaments around their region to attempt to qualify for the State Championship in February. There, teams will try to qualify for the VRC world championships in April.
This Year's Game: Tower Takeover
In VRC Tower Takeover, points are scored by placing cubes in your alliance's corner, or "goal." The point value of each cube is 1+however many cubes of that color are placed in towers. A match starts with a 15 second autonomous period, where robots run pre-coded programs, without drivers. This is followed by a 1:45 driver control period.
